OBJECTIVES
FOR YOU
Our teaching methods are based on:
⁃ The education of versatile artists in all dance styles without forgetting about the urban academic fundamentals.
⁃ The individual development of skills for each student.
⁃ Preparing students for professional stage settings.
During the year, the students are evaluated and receive both support and personal advice to achieve their own goals.
The training leads to a final demonstration of the students’ skills in a famous theater in Paris. It is more than a performance, a final exam.
THEORY
⁃ History of hip hop culture (origins, music, key players)
⁃ Marketing and artistic communication
⁃ Health education: nutrition and injury prevention.
CLASS PROGRAM
PRACTIC SKILLS
⁃ Fundamentals and vocabulary of each urban dance styles (hip hop, house, lockin’, poppin’, b-boyin’, dancehall, krump, waacking, voguing, electro)
– Academic skills about genres (jazz, modern, contemporary, classic)
– Interpretation tools (listening to the music, scenic expression)
– Choreographic scripture (originality, time and space management,
quality of movement, teaching)
– Workshops and freestyle improvisations sessions
– Specific international stakeholders’ master class
– Interschool exchange with Centre de Formation Dance (CFD) i Cergy
– Evaluations:
1) General. Our students are evaluated in each styles, by making exercices,
walks, or executing choregraphies. They get a mark from 1 to 5.
2) Personalized. Students are eavluated on a freestyle/improvisation they propose.
Teachers judge their way to bring the technical elements regarding the
different styles. An evaluation system has been set, which allow the students to see
their progress during the year. This system countain both gerenal and specific elements
to master.
3) Our students get the opportunity to participate to a “Hawks Method”, a revolutionnary
evaluation system created by Yugson Hawks. Moreover, they receive personal
feedbacks from our teachers.
ENDING SHOW/EXSAM
The final show is a performance created by the teachers in association with the students.
It aims give the students a real-life experience on a theater stage.
This is a big opportunity and also the exam and the showing of the final results of the work accomplished during the education at Flow Dance Academy Paris.

this means that during our Audition we found as you a real potential.
This month you will learn real foundation on which to lay a solid foundation for your future.
As a dancer you aspire to a quality learning during this months, a learning distilled from the best teachers / choreographers of France, and aboard.
This months is oriented both on the set of vocabularies and fundamental in the different dance styles underneath the umbrella of the hip hop culture and as the importance of your personal development.
Learnig the history of Hip Hop culture, the development of individual skills through a real professional preparation.
FIRST YEAR OF FLOWS DANCE EDUCATION

When ou are admitted into first year at Flow Dance Academy, this means that during our
Audition we found as you a real potential.
This year you will learn real foundation on which to lay a solid foundation for your future.
As a dancer you aspire to a quality learning during this year, a learning distilled from the best teachers / choreographers of Paris and around the world.
This first year is oriented both on the set of vocabularies and fundamental in the different dance styles undernead the umbrella of the hip hop culture and as the importance of your personal development.
Learnig the history of HipHop culture, the development of individual skills through a real professional preparation for stage conditions.
SECOND YEAR OF FLOWS DANCE EDUCATION
HIGH LEVEL EDUCATION “the education for the educated”
The 2nd year will be open for the most ambitious dancers from the 1st year and it will be a composition of very thorough specialisation of the different dance styles, choreography practice and strong focus on freestyle.
Where 1st year on the Flow Education educates students in everything from fundamentals and vocabulary of different dance styles to the history of hip hop and personal development, the 2nd year will challenge each individual student and develop stronger dancers, with both mental and psychical strength.
And where the 1st year students get a versatile understanding, the 2nd year allows the students to go deeply into different practical skills, theories, freestyle and music understanding within the various dance styles.
Only the best teachers who can manage to develop and push dancers into a very high level will be chosen to teach at this year.
